THE FORUM

A medium for the open discussion of subjects of public interest

Look OK? How's work?

Sunday 15 April 7pm Quaker Meeting House, Victoria Terrace

Free/ donation

A lot of folk would like to see things change at their work. Maybe you're one of them?

This month's Forum focuses on how ordinary folk at work can get together to make a difference. We'll be screening the short documentary

TOGETHER WE WIN - THE STORY OF THE IWW STARBUCKS UNION (15 mins)

and hearing from a local IWW organiser. As always at the Forum, there'll be space for discussion after the film and speaker. If folk want, the discussion may also turn towards the upcoming May Day, that traditional worker's holiday.

The meeting will end at 9pm, often folk go for a drink and a chat afterwards.

Victoria Terrace is off the Lawnmarket, near the top of the Royal Mile

Stalls from AK Press and others

The Forum meets on the 3rd Sunday of the month at the Quaker Meeting House, which is fully accessible for people in wheel chairs and with mobility problems (lift to meeting room)

The IWW are the revolutionary grass-roots Union, the Industrial Workers of the World
