To let you know that we have two exciting
events coming up next weekend - all based around queer
history. Both events will be friendly events that
provide a chance for folks to hang out with, snack,
socialise and talk about interesting things with each
other. lots of hidden history and some d.i.y.
Saturday 20th October - FILM SCREENINGS at A.C.E.
17 West Montgomery Place, Edinburgh. EH7 5HA.
£1 or donation entry fee.

Before Stonewall (1985) (90 mins) dir. Greta Schiller
in 1969 the patrons of the Stonewall Inn in New York
fought back against a routine police raid with three
nights of rioting. This film examines historical
background to this burst of political energy. It moves
from the early twenties on using a wealth of archive
material and interviews.

Homotopia (2005)(35 mins) dir by Chris Vargas and
Eric Stanely love revolution not state delusion... set
in the near future-present Homotopia chronicles a
group of radical queers dedicated to exposing the
trouble with gay marriage, dismantling the State,
undoing Empire while looking totally fierce.
Shinjuku Boys (1995) (53 mins)dirs. Kim Longinotto &
Jano Williams This documentary follows some of the
lives of three annabe (women who live as men)who work
as hosts to women discontented with biologically born
men at in a night club in Japan.

Kellan Farshea (founder member of Perpetual
Sisters of Indulgence, London, defendant in the
Spanner Trials and Act-Up organsiser) and Caz
(founding organiser of Queeruption London)

accuracy from stonewall times onwards.
