Haiti: Colin Powell's Crime in Progress
By Black Commentator
History will record that the first Black U.S. Secretary of State personally
engineered the theft of the national sovereignty of Haiti, the world's first
Black republic and the second nation in the western hemisphere to free
itself from European rule. Such is Colin Powell's horrific legacy - an
historic shame and blight on the collective honor of Black America. Powell
returned to the scene of his crime last week to assure Gerard Latortue, the
evilly buffoonish U.S.-installed interim Prime Minister, "We are with you
all the way" - words of encouragement to a man who is said to have estimated
it will be necessary to kill 25,000 people in the capital alone to stop
calls for the return of exiled President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.

Rumsfeld to troops: You're all bullet-stopper slaves now
By Kurt Nimmo
How many Americans would have signed up for Bush's military if they knew at
the time they'd be trapped in rotating tours of the Iraqi hell-hole?
Probably not many. In Kuwait yesterday at Camp Buehring, Rumsfeld basically
told a gathering of soldiers and Marines tough luck, you're in the army now.
"You go to war with the Army you have," he told them, "not the Army you
might want or wish to have." In other words, the Army the soldiers "have" is
not the same Army they were promised when they signed up. But then that's
what happens when you turn yourself over to the government-you become a
slave drone and bullet-stopper for the Strausscon version of World War IV.

Rebellion in the Ranks: Grunts Are Resisting Stop-Loss Orders
Nicole Colson, CounterPunch
Sending more U.S. soldiers to kill and be killed. That's the Bush
administration's plan for the occupation of Iraq. Pentagon officials
announced last week that 12,000 more troops would be deployed to Iraq in
time for the country's scheduled January elections--raising the total number
to 150,000. For soldiers who were promised a "quick" war and told that they
would be welcomed as "liberators," the news will add to growing bitterness
and frustration. That frustration is beginning to drive some
soldiers--particularly reservists--to take action.
