One Hundred New Pirate Radio Stations
By Kirsten Anderberg
"Pirate radio" is the taking of public radio airwaves, usually coordinated
by a collective of volunteers with a community agenda, without federal or
corporate regulation, sponsorship, or censorship. Santa Cruz's "pirate"
radio station, FRSC, is one of many microradio stations worldwide, and it
seems the pirate radio movement is only gaining support. Pirate radio
broadcasts go out over frequencies and call numbers not taken by others, it
is like squatting an abandoned house but through the airwaves. Many
Independent Media Centers (IMCs) have pirate radio arms to them, and more
alternative media is beginning to offer their work for broadcast on pirate
radio.

DO NOT Support 'Our' Troops: The Toxicity of Center-Rightists, Liberals, and
the Establishment Left
By the Glorious Revolutionary Federation of Fortune 500 Killer's
There exists a question that all those of the "Support the Troops" tendency
must confront: how does one "support" troops executing a grotesque and
inhumane collective war crime? The Federation cannot support agents of the
following: destruction of civilian hospitals, destruction of civilian water
and energy supplies, destruction and razing of civilian homes, prison
torture and humiliation, and military orders to shoot without regard for
whether potential targets are "hostile." ... The only troops deserving of
"support" and who deserve the term "war hero" are those who disobey orders
and resist this war. It is impossible otherwise to support the troops when
the troops are carrying out war crimes and are thus war criminals
themselves, some individually, all collectively. "We were just following
orders" did not work for the Nazis - it should not work for the American
troops, either.

Open Letter to Europeans: A Question of Honor
by Richard Oxman
There is no honor possible for that Marine or any of his colleagues,
co-killers. Go-for-it arrogant, overfed children with guns. Adults who can't
know any better. Honorable discharge? Entering the U.S. military machine as
a working part precludes the possibility of any such honor being bestowed.
For it is a dishonorable occupation.

humor:

Fuck the South
The next dickwad who says, "It's your money, not the government's money" is
gonna get their ass kicked. Nine of the ten states that get the most federal
fucking dollars and pay the least... can you guess? Go on, guess. That's
right, motherfucker, they're red states. And eight of the ten states that
receive the least and pay the most? It's too easy, asshole, they're blue
states. It's not your money, assholes, it's fucking our money. What was that
Real American Value you were spouting a minute ago? Self reliance? Try this
for self reliance: buy your own fucking stop signs, assholes.

The eXile Solution to Middle America
Gas them. Gas every red state that voted for Bush. Gas them all, and gas
them now. And if that sounds a little too 1940s for you, then fine, nuke the
fuckers. Nukes have come a long way since 1945, so much so that they're not
even 1940s anymore. It's just that gassing them sounds so much more
appropriate.

Justifiable Murder
Steven Malik Shelton, Media Monitors
The double standard is clear and obvious. Those who are non-White are to be
considered less than human, practically on a level with cock roaches or
vermin to be exterminated at the slightest imagined provocation or (baring
that) no provocation at all, but simply to further the illegitimate
interests and agendas of greedy and wicked men.

Who is the Real Enemy?
John Kaminski, WarFolly.com
If you think America has any remaining shred of decency and honesty in the
way it barges around the world, killing innocent people with impunity as it
goes, then I have to tell you that in your profound and deliberate
ignorance, you are an accessory to mass murder. By your silence and
inaction, you are assisting in the daily murders of innocent people. Are you
too stupid to make the connection? Waging war on the basis of lies
is mass murder, and you are supporting it.

The Right to Resist
John Paul Cupp, Al-Moharer
The US imperialists and "Israel" speak often of human rights, of lofty
virtues, and of noble ideals. What is the greatest of all human rights? It
is none other than the collective rights of a nation's people to
self-determination, to self-reliance and independence in all spheres of
society, including economic emancipation. Part and parcel to this is the
sacred duty and inalienable right of the masses of these countries to
resist, including by force of arms, when their collective spirit is shackled
and occupied.

The American people owe the German people an apology
The German people have been justly criticized for their failing to do
anything to stop the Holocaust, with Jews disappearing off the streets of
Nazi Germany to be killed while the Germans pretended not to notice. It has
been one of the mysteries of history how the most civilized people on earth
could have allowed the Holocaust to happen with nary a voice of opposition
or complaint. How does this differ from the remarkable lack of opposition in
the United States to the war crimes being committed by American troops in
Falluja and elsewhere?

Executing Injured Prisoners in Falluja
Omar Barghouti, ZNet
The recently broadcast NBC footage taken by an American journalist embedded
with a Marines unit attacking Falluja was unambiguous. In a badly damaged
mosque, a US soldier has indeed shot dead from a close range,
execution-style, an injured person who, according to the journalist himself,
was severely injured, unarmed and did not pose any imminent threat. In fact,
several other Iraqis were reportedly found in Falluja with single-bullet
marks in their heads indicating a similar fate. It can be accurately
concluded that US soldiers are still committing war crimes in Iraq with
frightening ease and nauseating impunity.

Peak Oil, Stolen Elections, Energy Wars: An Interview with Michael Ruppert
by Tod Foley and Ronnie Pontiac
Globalization is dead, d-e-a-d. It is based upon shipping raw materials and
finished goods all over the planet. Hence we have 10,000 mile Caesar salads;
tin and aluminum packaging that travel 20,000 miles from mining to
manufacture to store; Chilean strawberries in Los Angeles markets instead of
those grown right here in California. All of that is made possible by cheap
oil. Some 60-70% of all petroleum energy is used for transportation. That's
another reason why local solutions are inevitable. Rising transportation
costs will kill globalization and outsourcing for anything other than
information services and data processing.

Peak Oil and the Big Picture
Michael C. Ruppert, HopeDance
Ghawar, the super giant of all fields was discovered more than 60 years ago.
It had estimated reserves of almost 100 billion barrels. Professor Michael
Klare has told us that, in order to keep pace with accelerating oil demand,
the world will have to discover three new Ghawars in the next 10 to 15
years. There was only one Ghawar. There hasn't been another since.

Colin Powell: Failed Opportunist
Robert Parry, Consortium News
At every turning point, Powell protected his career above all else. Yet,
Powell's charisma - and the fact that he is a prominent and successful
African-American - have protected him from any clear-eyed assessment of his
true record. Even when Powell has publicly defended war crimes, such as the
shooting of defenseless "military-aged males" in Vietnam, national
journalists have preferred to focus on Powell's sparkling style over his
troubling substance.

Welcome to the One-Party State
Sheldon Rampton and John Stauber, YubaNet
The implicit message was that Bush was a uniquely flawed individual and that
literally "anybody but Bush" would be an improvement. The flaw in this
argument is that it really isn't true. The problem with George W. Bush is
that he isn't unique. He sits atop a political movement that has been
building for 30 years.
