CIFA: The Pentagon's COINTELPRO
By Kurt Nimmo
CIFA is little more than an excuse to get the military back in the business
of "investigating" (subverting the Constitutional rights) of Americans. "The
[Bush stacked] commission urged that CIFA be given authority to carry out
domestic criminal investigations and clandestine operations against
potential threats inside the United States," including the threat of
"treason" (not paying fealty to our feudal lord, George Bush, and
criticizing his policies-note the accusation Dubya wanted to bomb Doha-based
al-Jazeera for not censoring news and you get a pretty good idea what our
ill-tempered monarch thinks of people who disagree with him). Our new
COINTELPRO, run by military intelligence and probably the CIA, will make the
old COINTELPRO pale in comparison.

TORTURERS 'R' US
By Mumia Abu-Jamal
There have been news reports of a number of secret US prisons in Eastern
European countries. These reports, coming as they do after reports about
torture at Guantanamo Naval Gulag, at Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan,
the Diego Garcia base situated in the middle of the Indian Ocean, and, of
course, Abu Ghraib in Iraq, should show us that torture lies at the very
heart of the U.S.-declared 'War on Terror'.

Al-Jazeera, Serbia, and Liberal Amnesia: When killing journalists was
permissible
Brendan O'Neill, Antiwar.com
Why, right now, do some journalists seem more outraged by the alleged
threats and slurs made by President Bush against a TV station than they were
about an earlier president's actual bombing of a TV station? Why are they
red-faced with rage and indignation over the Bush and al-Jazeera incident,
yet they turned a blind eye - or even tried to justify - President Bill
Clinton's outrageous bombing of Serbian TV during the Kosovo War in 1999,
which left journalists dead and maimed?

American Police State: The Frog Has Cooked
Paul Joseph Watson, Prison Planet
Here we have American police chiefs using military terminology and directing
it against American citizens. The random sieges, ID checking and public
transport casing is the very benchmark of a police state.

Selling the biggest lie of them all - Capitalism
William Bowles, williambowles.info
Well the jury is no longer out, there is no doubt about it - the history of
Western 'civilisation' is an unmitigated disaster and one based upon a lie
from beginning to what might well be its end in a short space of time.

How our governments use terrorism to control us
Tim Howells, Online Journal
The sponsorship of terrorism by western governments, targeting their own
populations, has been a taboo subject. Although major scandals have received
cursory coverage in the media, the subject has been allowed to immediately
disappear without discussion or investigation. Therefore the appearance this
year of two major studies of this subject is a welcome breakthrough, and
provides essential reading for anyone struggling to understand the events of
September 11, 2001 and the post September 11 world.

Mystery of Woodward's Three Sources
Robert Parry, Consortium News
Buried deep in an article by the Washington Post's media writer Howard Kurtz
is new evidence that senior Bush administration officials knew their case
for war with Iraq was shaky - and that the Post's star reporter Bob Woodward
ducked his duty to the American people to present this information before
the invasion began.

Pharma's Poisoned Generation
Evelyn J. Pringle, Media Monitors
A growing number of professionals in the health care field are reporting
that a relationship exists between the epidemic in neurodevelopmental
disorders of autism, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, and speech or
language delay all across the country, and the use of thimerosal, the
mercury-based preservative used in childhood vaccines.

Christmas Under Attack: A Manufactured Crisis
Bill Berkowitz, Dissident Voice
Conservative Christian fundamentalists, right wing Christian legal groups,
and most of the Fox News Channel's prime time crew are echoing variations on
the same theme: liberals are once again out to destroy Christmas. Instead of
the ancient cry that "Jews killed Christ," fundamentalist Christians and
their conservative allies are accusing liberals -- which in those circles is
often read, Jews -- for trying to remove Christmas from the public square.
