[Crossroads-announce] New infoshop hours; update on the expansion project

The Crossroads Infoshop & Radical Bookstore will now be open on Friday 
nights from 5-8pm. We are still open from 1-5pm on Wednesday and 
Saturday, and on Mondays from 4-7pm as long as we continue to have work 
days.

We are still looking for more volunteers to staff shifts.

The first phase of our expansion project is nearing completion, although 
we have several weeks of work ahead of us. We are painting walls and 
other stuff, which means that much of the basic destruction and 
construction is behind us. We are still waiting for the electrical to be 
added to the space. Once the electrical is done, we can install drywall 
on the ceilings and paint them.

The railing and bookcase for the upper front balcony has mostly been 
installed. It looks like we've fixed the leak in that balcony. We've 
installed drywall on the wall next to the hallway, closing up the space 
that was hidden by the Jimmy Crack Corn banner. Most of the junk has 
been moved out of the space.

This weekend and next week will mostly involve painting and treating the 
floor. We will need some extra hands to put up drywall once the 
electrical is completed. I will send out a note and contact people when 
the electrical is done.

We are in good financial shape, but we are at a point where cash 
donations will come in handy to help us finish the main phase of the 
project. We still need to buy more drywall, 4x4 beams, paint, floor 
sealant and a variety of other items. It should cost us no more than 
$200 to finish the first phase.
