Hey there:

I live on the Hill and noticed new signs on Monday banning bicycles from the 
Capital grounds, prominently displayed near the intersection with East 
Capital St. and at various points along the drive to the West of the main 
building. What's the deal? Is this a new security measure? Do the Capital 
Police perceive cyclists as being a silent partner in the Axis of Evil? Have 
bikes always been banned and I've just not been aware of it? These driveways 
have always been a great car-free cut-through on my commute.
