All,

I know there are cyclists killed all the time, all over the country, but
I thought I would share this story.

The driver didn't even know, allegedly, that he ran her over. 

The young woman that was killed has a profile on "Myspace" (a Web site
where people have profiles of themselves and post interests etc.). A
feature of the site is that people post comments about each other.
Hundreds of people have written testimonials to her: it's a really
moving digital memorial. Almost too much to bear. If you belong to the

I thought I'd email, not to depress everyone, but to remind everyone how
vulnerable we are, and to look out for each other on the streets.
