howdy,

i wish i had run into the same cop you talked to.  late last week i was biking to work (~8:45am) on my usual route down 14th.  on 14th & U i ran the red after the cross traffic's light had already turned red (i thought our light would be turning green but there was a left turn light going the opposite direction).  i crossed u st right into a cop who had parked his car next to the Mc Donald's and was outside writing many tickets.  i literally rode straight to him and blatantly ran the red (although there was no traffic/pedestrians).  there was another biker right behind me as well.  he wrote both of us tickets (only $25).  at 22 yrs old, i am quite proud that my first ticket ever was when i was on my bike.  two wheels for life!!!

see yall at the ride tomorrow!  hopefully we won't get rained out two months in a row...
