Crafty Bastards Bike Valet

the few bike racks on 18th Street or nervously lock your bike to a street
sign. Just come on over to the south tennis court in front of the Marie Reed
Center and let one of our smiling valet attendants park your bike.

Crafty Bike Competition:

Did you build your own frame or tall bike? Give your bike the sweetest paint
job ever? Or perhaps you've added a milk crate to the back or stitched all
your panniers with glow in the dark thread. WABA will be giving out prizes
throughout that day for the craftiest bikes parked at the bike valet. You
may have a chance at winning a free WABA membership, T-shirt, or cycling
cap. Get creative!

50 States and 13 Colonies Bike Ride

October 11 *Registration Now Open* 

The 50 States Ride has been revamped and is better than ever.

There will be a Start/Finish area and  3 pit stop areas fully stocked with
water, food, and a bike mechanic.This year riders will also have the choice
of paying a little extra for a burrito lunch catered by California

To top it all off, once you finish the 50 states ride we encourage all

 WABA Volunteer Nights!

Have you thought about volunteering with WABA but never really got around to
doing it? Now is your chance! On the 1st and 3rd wednesday of each month
>From 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM we invite everyone and anyone to come by the WABA
office and help stuff membership packets, and brain storm future volunteer
efforts. Did we mention that we will be providing food and drink? 

WABA volunteer nights are a fun way to get to know other cyclists in the DC
area and a simple way to help advocate for better bicycling. At this first
meeting we want to do a lot of brain storming, which is why we need you! Do
you have a list of ideas for volunteer opportunities you would like to see
us offer? Do you want to play a larger role in helping WABA's advocacy
efforts? Now is your chance.
