[dc-critmass-list] Checking in about pedestrians

It's great to discuss the way our rides go, but we cannot meet consensus
here. This recent discussion online is important, and hopefully it will
spawn some debate before the ride this coming Friday. Before the ride, and
before every ride, we should chat about where we all want to go and how we'd
like to ride.
I'm getting tired of riding in the back because the folks up front are
dropping folks. The way that Mass works best is if we are all bunched up,
riding as slow as the slowest, and cautious if there were little babies on
the ride. ( Let's all dress up as babies in the warm weather.) One good way
to stay together is not split lanes, and stop at red lights. It's fine to
cork lights if we are longer than a green light period, but it's not useful
for the front to run reds. Ride like a train, and talk to your neighbors.
But hell, check it out, Critical Mass is your ride. There are no leaders!
There are no leaders.
Love, Aaron.
