[ETAN-key] Important: Fees for listing jobs on ETAN's east-timor listserv

Beginning January 23, 2012, ETAN will be charging for posting jobs, 
announcements seeking consultants and RFPs to our east-timor listserv 
on riseup.net. That list currently reaches a growing list of more 
than 2675 direct e-mail subscribers, many of whom have told us they 
use the list to look for jobs in Timor-Leste. (Job announcements and 
all other list postings are also posted permanently on the web, where 
they can be accessed at https://lists.riseup.net/www/arc/east-timor 
and are linked on the listserv's twitter feed, @TimorNews)

The east-timor list is different from this list - the ETAN Key List. 
The Key List is for ETAN action alerts, media releases, and other 
resources on Timor, West Papua, and Indonesia selected by ETAN, 
focused on ETAN's program and priorities. The long-running east-timor 
list is for any relevant news, views, and resources on Timor-Leste.

The charge is USD$60 per announcement. Organizations also have the 
option to make an annual payment of USD$500 for an unlimited number 
of job announcements.

Details about job postings

Additional contributions to support this service are welcome. 
Announcements containing more than one job will be charged for each 
job. (We strongly encourage organizations to post jobs in separate 
e-mails.) Re-advertisements of previously posted announcements will 
be billed as new.

Payment can be made via credit card via Paypal at this link 
http://www.etan.org/etan/listpay.htm. Checks (on U.S. banks only) 
should be made payable to ETAN and mailed to PO Box 21873, Brooklyn, 
NY 11202-1873 USA. For other payments options and any questions

To post a job to the list send your announcement as an e-mail to 
east-timor at lists.riseup.net. In the subject line, please include the 
word JOB: followed by the job title. We do not accept attachments. In 
a separate e-mail to etan at etan.org, please send billing information 
or proof of payment.

ETAN is a low-budget, non-profit operation. ETAN has been running the 
east-timor list for many years, dependent on voluntary donations. We 
have instituted these charges to to ensure the sustainability of this 
list service for all.

Announcements of scholarships or seeking volunteers are not 
considered jobs and will not be billed. We do not charge for media 
releases, statements, articles or announcements of events, reports or 
videos. (Fees may be waived at ETAN's discretion for low budget organizations.)
