Charlotte already has a baseboard system in place. The advantage of the
MODUHEAT approach is in the initial installation. From what I understand,
they have prefabricated parts that speed the installation.
To address the original question about heat pumps, I suggest consulting
with the folks at Performance Systems Contracting. They do installations of
ground-source heat pumps, and can in addition look at the overall energy
efficiency of the whole building as a system, identifying as result the
most cost-effective strategies for saving money and energy.
