Natural Building Workshop: Living Roofs

Cayuga Nature Center and Motherplants present a one-day living roof
workshop. We will put a green roof onto a 320 square foot structure in
one afternoon. Come familiarize yourself with the process of
installing a living roof!

Living roofs reduce storm water runoff; moderate building
temperatures, reduce heating and cooling costs; reduce heat radiation
from buildings which causes the urban heat island effect; add to a
building's aesthetic value; and increase green space for human
enjoyment and wildlife value.
