CNC SEEKS KITCHEN FACILITATOR AND COOK

Cayuga Nature Center (www.cayuganaturecenter.org) of Ithaca, NY seeks 
motivated, self-driven, and flexible person for kitchen facilitator/cook 
position for a variety of summer programming. Position begins May 15th 
and ends September 1.

Responsibilities include food budgeting, meal planning, purchasing, 
cooking, serving and clean up. The various needs of diverse programs 
will have to be addressed. Position is sometimes part time and sometimes 
overtime. Lots of opportunity to develop classes, produce value added 
products, and offer catering services on the side.

GENERAL SCHEDULE
June 2 & 3 - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner for 20+ workshop participants
June 13 - 23 - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner for 20+ workshop participants
June 25 - 29 - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner for 20+ campers
June  25 - August 24 - Afternoon snack for 100+ campers
August 4 - 19 - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner for 20+ workshop participants
plus other special events

SUMAMRY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Good organizational, time management and budgeting skills
- Knowledge of vegetarian and special needs food preparation
- Use of local, organic, and seasonal produce in food preparation
- Ability to work with and facilitate volunteer help

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- at least 2 years food experience for large groups
- other relevant experience in working with groups, non-profit orgs, 
food service situations

ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Access to vehicle
- Ability to lift 30 lbs

COMPENSATION
Salaried at $5000 for May 15, 2007 thru Sept 1, 2007.
