Human Powered Logging and Cabin Building Tools
Saturday, August 4, 9am - 2pm
Rochester Folk Art Guild, Upper Hill Rd. in Middlesex, NY (western
Finger Lakes, between Penn Yan and Naples, NY)
Join Marty Dodge, FLCC professor and Woodsmen's team coach for a
workshop on the selection, maintenance, demonstration, and use of a
variety of axes, saws, and other hand tools. After instruction and
demonstration, participants will fell a tree, buck the tree into log
lengths, hew the logs into beams, and smooth the hewn logs. Dress for
the weather and bring a bag
