You are invited to join a new Yahoo email group, called "SewGreen."

It has been set up to be: "an open membership list for the  
sustainable sewing community in and around Ithaca and Tompkins  
County, NY. List members are encouraged to use this list to share  
ideas, organize activities, and network with others who share the  
same goals of ecologically and economically sustainable fashion and  
craft sewing."

Open membership means anyone can join -- so please forward this to  
friends -- and messages are not filtered or monitored. The Yahoo site  
archives all messages. Email attachments are allowed.

You may join by going to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SewGreen/ .  
Click on the blue Join This Group button at the upper right and  
follow the directions. You can choose to receive SewGreen emails as  
they arrive, or to receive them as a "daily digest." You may also  
choose to access the group's messages on the web only.

I will be using SewGreen to send out announcements and news of  
sustainable sewing activities, eco-fashion contests etc. You may send  
sustainable sewing/needlecraft news and info to me at ws at twcny.rr.com  
for compilation into an occasional omnibus email, if you like. That  
would cut down on the number of individual messages.
