Simon's statement about rebuilding local networks (in the "Eat-Local Backlash" thread) made me think that this workshop would be of interest to some on this list. Please pass it on, and I hope to meet some of you there!

Eric

Subject: Workshop Sept. 30 sponsored by Earth Arts and Primitive Pursuits

What would be possible for your grandchildren if we cultivated unprecedented and uncompromised vision for the future?
Where can we draw sustainable models of living from?
There’s a map, drawn from indigenous ways of living.

Mark Morey will come and inspire you to apply new ways of living in the world that are regenerative, time-tested, community designs. The outcome will be whole new ways of conducting yourself that create well-being for you and your community.

Earth Arts and Primitive Pursuits invite you to come Sunday, September 30, 10am-4pm, to a workshop with Mark Morey.

Who: Mark is founder of the Vermont Wilderness School (http://vermontwildernessschool.org/school/) and The Institute for Natural Learning (http://ifnaturallearning.com/). He a dynamic speaker and visionary green educator. He is currently invested in the national movement of bridging the Permaculture movement with the Nature Awareness movement. He is gifted in helping others map out and build sustainable communities. He has founded 3 organizations dedicated to building regenerative connections to nature, self, community, and spirit.

When: Sunday, September 30th. 10am-4pm. Place to be announced.

Why: The Ithaca region is moving forward with sustainable community building and mentoring systems that Mark facilitates. Earth Arts and Primitive
Pursuits will present to Ithaca the “Art of Mentoring,” a 6 day workshop, in the near future. This workshop is a cultural immersion and transformative workshop, modeling a road map that can be applied to family, schools, businesses, communities.
