Saturday, January 13
9am - 5pm
Waste Treatment
$45 members/$50 non-members (sign up for any four and pay $150)
In permaculture waste is viewed as an asset and not a liability; we can
develop systems that utilize our wastes for direct use on site. We will
discuss energy cycling, greywater and blackwater systems,
composting toilets, recycling, and more!
Sunday, January 14
9am - 4pm
Water
$45 members/$50 non-members (sign up for any four and pay $150)
Water is a necessary element to all life on the planet, and yet most
humans on the plant lack access to clean water while “developed”
countries pollute and waste it as if there were no tomorrow. We will look
at strategies for the capture and storage of water as a way to revitalize
watersheds, prepare for drought conditions, and ensure the continuation
of this precious resource.
