Hi Judy,

Your suspicion is correct -- winmail.dat is msft crud.  You can
read all about it here:

I thought that the list had been set up to block all attachments,
but clearly I was wrong.  Maybe it's just set up to block specific
file types.

BTW, the message headers show that mutualaid is running the
messages through a virus checker.  Not complete protection, of
course, but it seems to have been working well enough.
