I think the keywords here are "I, for one". Living in a world where others are deciding what we are mandatorially obligated to put into our bodies is disturbing. And no matter what great arguments Joe may have, and we all respect his opinion, it doesn't change the fact that this is what we are talking about.
It may be a good decision to vaccinate, and there are some vaccines which are great, and others that may be harmful. But do we want an outside body of the United States Government, of all things this, to decide what we are going to do for our children?
Isn't it time that we had the power to decide for ourselves what to do for ourselves?
Is my deciding to not be vaccinated going to affect someone who has? If I decide personally to not be vaccinated, then when I contract an illness, it is my responsibility to take care of myself, with the support, or without the support, of my friends and family.
If we had an adequate healthcare system which treated us when we were sick, I could see some issues arising, such as, "well if you don't get the vaccines we prescribe, then when you contract the illness, you have to pay for your own medical expenses". But this is clearly not the issue.

It is a widespread thought that auto-immune diseases such as type-1 diabetes, and other health problems such as asthma occur in more people now because as our environments become more sterile, we become used to it until one aspect hits us that we weren't immune to.
