BuildaBridge International announces the Fifth Annual Institute for Arts 
and Transformation V (IAT), /formerly the Institute for the Church and 
Community Arts. The Institute will be held on /May 31-June 4, 2006 at 
the Mother Boniface Spirituality Retreat Center in Philadelphia, PA. 
This year's featured faculty is William Swetcharnik, artist, writer and 
educator who has used art in Latin America for community development and 
violence reduction.

IAT5 is an intensive five-day training institute for community leaders, 
youth workers, ministers, teachers, and artists of all disciplines who 
want to integrate music, dance, drama, visual arts and dance effectively 
in community-based service. /IATV harnesses the power of the arts for 
community outreach and transformation. /

Presented by BuildaBridge International, an arts education and 
intervention non-profit organization, the Institute will offer short 
courses in arts-integrated education and healing for youth leadership, 
after-school programming, spiritual development, community building, 
life skills education, and more.

Learn from the research of the Institute and the experience of proven 
arts programs with vulnerable children and youth. ACT48 credit for 
teachers, undergraduate and graduate credit is available through Eastern 
University.

*Cost: *

$450 Registration fee covers all course work, Open Art Studio, textbooks 
and supplies

$250 /additional/ cost covers room and board at the Mother Boniface 
Spiritual Retreat

Center and all meals

$150 single night rate includes registration and 3 meals

Full Institute commuters can pay $28 per day for all meals

*Academic Credit*

A Certificate in Community Arts is offered through the Campolo School 
for Social Change at Eastern University--Philadelphia

Undergraduate and Graduate credit is offered through Eastern University. 
(Tuition is not covered in the registration cost.)
