[Jubilee] after the Moving Stories retreat -- what's next?

HI there,

This is Rita Cummins, writing to Chris (I think). For whatever reason, I
am receiving a copy of each and every email response that is being send to
jubileetroupe at lists.mutualaid.org. I really should not be receiving them,
I have no reason to receive them, and I would greatly appreciate it if
someone could figure out why this is happening so you can fix it. I am
concerned that the message might not be getting to their proper and final
destination.

Blessings!

Please unsubscribe me from this list.

Thanks!
Kelly Burk

 >Dear friends and family of the Jubilee,
 >
 >Exactly one week has passed since the Jubilee Troupe's Moving Stories,
 >Healing Stories retreat weekend. It was an intense weekend by all
 >accounts and a welcomed meeting of both new and old friends. Sixteen of
 >us gathered for the weekend, with ages ranging from 14 months to over
 >seventy years! Five more friends also joined us for the opening night's
 >Healing Stories playback theater performance.
 >
 >Highlights of the weekend included story-sharing and group listening
 >techniques, playing with lively InterPlay babbling, singing and moving
 >forms, a rousing group sing and jam time and an intense Sunday morning
 >story-sharing worship circle. And if even if you didn't get to join us
 >in person, we welcomed you -- the wider body of the Jubilee -- in spirit.
 >
 >And we -- troupe advisors and members in attendance -- decided on a few
 >BIG CHANGES that should know about:
 >
 >1.) We decided to formally disband the Jubilee Troupe as such. The
 >reality of a traveling group (whose members were in California,
 >Tennessee, Pennsylvania and DC) is not feasible or sustainable.
 >Furthermore, my own leadership is drawn first to my family right now,
 >then to local work and finally to anything bigger and more logistically
 >ambitious;
 >
 >2.) The consensus among all troupe members was the need to work and play
 >more locally right now. There was still a perceived need for sharing
 >with each other the fruits of our work and cross-fertilizing that in a
 >wider network;
 >
 >3.) We decided to try to meet next fall, perhaps in conjunction with A
 >Place Apart, and to see where we are as a movement at that time;
 >
 >4.) We decided to formalize a loosely-knit network with the name
 >"Jubilee Arts" that would serve to connect and cross-fertilize a wider
 >membership of artists, seekers and activists eager to explore the
 >liberating arts, especially though not exclusively out of a peace church
 >context. This network would be primarily made up of a LISTSERV (this
 >list) and a WEBSITE: www.jubileearts.net (not yet online).
 >
 >5.) THIS LISTSERV as it was started, was originally for announcements
 >from the Jubilee Troupe. Rather than start an entirely new list and
 >kick this one into the e-dustbin, I have made an executive operational
 >decision to OFFICIALLY CHANGE THIS LIST TO A DISCUSSION FORMAT, open for
 >all subscribers to post, send announcements, share ideas, ask questions
 >and solicit feedback on the topic of "liberating arts."
 >
 >I INVITE YOU TO STAY and at the same time, i understand that many of us
 >are over-e-loaded and can't take any more in their inbox. So please
 >feel free to unsubscribe with the directions below. You can also always
 >unsubscribe at a later point when it actually gets to be too much.
 >
 >6.) FINALLY, we welcome your assistance with this transition, especially
 >you tech and web-savvy Jubilee friends -- finding new ecumenical and
 >arts-oriented sponsors, sharing ideas on what could be next, finding
 >appropriate web hosting and helping to build a simple new website. OR
 >just stay tuned for updates on the transition and ways to connect to
 >others in this network.
 >
 >Feel free to respond directly to me or to the entire list if your ideas
 >concern us all. I look forward to the widening of this movement for
 >embodied liberation!
 >
 >peace now,
