Contemplative Dance News:
2007-08 Year-Long Program and Workshops

Continuing Education Credits for
Week I and Year-Long Program I
We now offer CEUs for our workshops!  The National Association of Social
Workers will now grant 37 CEUs for taking Week I, and 204 CEUs for Year-Long
Program I. Other professional organizations will accept these Social Work
CEUs also. For example, the Maine Board of the National Board of Certified
Counselors will. If you are interested in CEUs, we encourage you to check
with your professional organization to find out if it will accept Social
Work CEUs or not. We send big thanks to our fabulous Fundraising Committee
who made this possible, especially to Maddy Pluhar, with help from Kathy
Chowanec and Roberta Whitney. We plan to seek permission to grant CEUs from
more organizations for all of our programs in the future. We welcome
suggestions and assistance on this project.

Spaces are still available. Apply soon. We need to firm up enrollment by the
end of August. The Application Form and more information are on our website.
Our current plan is to offer YLP I every other year, so now¹s the time!

If you haven¹t done Week I yet, but are interested in the Year-Long Program,
do call us.  We may be able to work out an alternate plan for meeting the
prerequisites.
 
YLP I & YLP II Graduates Returning to YLP I
In recent years we have welcomed back YLP I and YLP II graduates to continue
their studies by enrolling in these programs again. This adds more depth and
a chance to reflect on the practice anew, with additional faculty
mentorship.

For people with previous experience in Contemplative Dance (Week I, II or
YLP). Taught by both Alton and Daphne, the weekend will focus on the
spiritual dimensions of CD, with an emphasis on contemplative practices,
movement, and silence.
