Spokes Notes

Rally location changed to Sylvan Theater.  A march will go past treasury dept. and end in either Franklin square, Mcphereson square, or Farragut square.  Scenario working group is empowered to decide the rest of the details and get the necessary permits.  Scenario will report back to Sun. spokes what they have decided.

Fundraising update:  Martin Thomas will be responsible for holding on to the check book, balancing the account and writing checks.
Martin does not make any decisions on who gets money, those decisions are made by the spokescouncil.
Email him or call him at home, don’t call him at work.


We need to create new budgets, did a brief go around, each spokes said what their budget was and a new, more realistic budget.

Take this info back to working groups, to finalize new budgets.  Must bring to spokes on Sun.  Spending caps will be created for each working group. So that they can just get checks as they need them.  
Each working group needs to designate one person to be the only person from that working group getting checks from Martin, that person also needs to keep track of how much the WG has spent.

$700.00 Train/Conv. Budget was approved
$150.00 to pay for palm cards (outreach wg) was approved.
$808.00 to pay for 100 medics to stay @ CCNV for 4 days and nights.  $250.00 of that is a refundable deposit.  Approved

Decision making structure next week.
Organizing spokes will meet every morning at 9am Tues. – Fri.
Wed. – Fri. we will meat at St. Stephens church.  We will decide Sun. where to meet on Tues.  We will decide later in the week if we need to meet Sat and Sun. mornings as well.
All working groups need to be represented.

Next spokes: Sun. the 22nd. 6pm 1752 Colombia.  Across the street from Safeway.  Top floor.
