[mgj-announce] DC RNC spokescouncil: Mon, 8/16 @ 7pm in Dupont Circle

In a few short weeks, massive non-violent resistance will greet the Republican
National Convention in New York City.  If the last four years have inspired
you to do more than merely vote, consider joining your fellow citizens in a
grassroots uprising.

DC activists from a host of organizations (as well as individuals seeking
opportunities to plug in) will be meeting for weekly spokescouncils beginning
today, Monday, August 16, at 7pm in DuPont Circle, to the north of the
fountain.  Affinity groups employing a variety of non-violent tactics will be
forming and open to newcomers.

If you find either jargon or the idea of "resistance" intimidating, please be
assured that ample training resources are available.  Nor need participation
entail arrest; support in a variety of capacities is needed.

If you care, get out of your chair.
If you give a damn, take a stand.
If you're tired of control by conservative factions,
TAKE ACTION.
