-biodem teach in went well as was pretty well attended
-philly biodem teach in on 21st! jon tia basav and catherine are going, so talk to them if you are too.
-tax the bank: some orgs are down, the idea is to build a coalition (mgj will bottomline this) of people to sign on to letters (already drafted) urging the wb and imf to pay a pilot (payment in lieu of taxes), then bring those to the city council so they can pass a resolution regarding the matter, and then continue to exert pressure so that these actually get paid.
-empower dc (who is endorsing the tax the bankness) will demonstrate in front of congress (russel building maybe?) to demand continued funding for section 8 housing. they need signmakers, phonebankers, and postcard signers and people to get other people to sign postcards.
-the retreat will be june 25-26 in the shenandoah (sp?!) valley. lots on the agenda.
-website is now on regular and not mobalization mode. catherine now has access to change text and some html skills. stuff has been archived. new server is needed for there to be flyers and such uploaded. chris will be lending a hand with websiteness.
 
sunday wolfowitz is going to africa. perhaps we should send a press release after with our comments? hope and morrigan seemed particularly into this, talk to them.
 
we did lots of discussion. much much more than i have notes for. 
-september: ufpj will have another dc meeting the last week of june.  dawn is thinking about forming a spokescouncil surrounding septemberness.  there is talk in ufpj about a dc comittee.
we brainstormed.  some have more space for heavy commitment than others, but just about all were ready to commit to some effort, lots of support for some creative actions instead of launching into another big mobilization. jon took brainstorm notes on big ol sheets of paper. who's got those? 
-tax the bank: next meeting we shall brainstorm <thunderclap!>
-g8: 6/29: jubilee drop the debt postcards will be hand delivered to congress (by children! ouch!) props needed
-basav will bring more info about what empower dc needs and we shall discuss our role further
 
proposal consensed upon: july eighth we shall throw a educational day/hopefully a show but if not some other fundraiser
