Big questions, big ideas
..THE BIG DISCUSSION!
What’s next for the Mobilization for Global Justice?
General meeting to discuss the future and future endeavors of MGJ as we look
forward at a year that includes yet another meeting of the World Bank and IMF
in Washington DC.

Wednesday Oct. 26th 7-9 PM
St. Stephens Church 16th and Newton St. NW (Columbia Heights Metro, S2 and S4
Buses)

The mobilization for Global Justice, a DC based *all Volunteer* activist group
working on issues of social and economic justice will be devoting the whole two
hours of our October 26th general meeting to discussing the big questions
surrounding how MGJ should move forward while also reflecting on 5 years of
incredible actions!

That’s right MGJ is 5 years old. Over the years MGJ has gone through many
changes. Some good some not so good, none the less MGJ has a lot to be proud of
and a lot of great actions to look back on. We are looking now to how MGJ will
relate to the spring meetings of the World Bank and IMF.

But how

?

Coming out of September big questions are swirling around within MGJ and other
activist circles; questions that are common but often are left unaddressed and
unanswered. Questions such as what issues should MGJ focus on? How can MGJ
continue to connect to community struggles while also working on international
issues? What sort of group is MGJ? Will we continue to do mass mobilizing?

Struggle for identity is not a bad thing. MGJ is trying to build a model of
organizing that builds energy, capacity, achieves results all the while relying
on the energy of activists and supporters not funding and grants.

MGJ NEEDS YOUR IMPUTE!!!!!

MGJ is a Washington DC based group, we thus interact with many other groups and
individuals in DC activism. MGJ needs impute from our allies in the community
to help shape the vision of the coming years. Please come out to this very
important and exciting meeting!
