National Security Adviser Rice to Speak at JHU SAIS

SAIS to Provide Live Webcast of Event

Condoleezza Rice, national security adviser and assistant to the president
for national security affairs, will give the annual Rostov Lecture on
International Affairs at the Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced
International Studies (SAIS) on Monday, April 29 at noon.

Rice is expected to speak about "The War on Terrorism and the Bush
Administration's Foreign Policy." She originally was scheduled to give the
Rostov Lecture on September 11, 2001.

The lecture is not open to the public. However, the event is open to the
media for coverage. Following her lecture, Rice will respond to questions
from the SAIS community audience only.

The event will be held in Kenney Auditorium located on the first floor of
the school's Nitze Building, 1740 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C.

SAIS will host a live Webcast of Rice's remarks available on the school's
Web site at www.sais-jhu.edu at noon on April 29. The audio and video of the
lecture also will be archived on the site for future access.

Established in 1990, the Rostov Lecture on International Affairs honors the
memory of Johns Hopkins alumnus and businessman Charles Rostov.

Members of the media who plan to cover the event must respond to Felisa
Neuringer at the SAIS Public Affairs Office at 202.663.5626 or
fneuringer at jhu.edu.
