First season's meeting of MGJ Education working group:

7:00PM, Tuesday July, 23
Public Resource Center for Activism & Art
1730 Connecticut Ave. NW
(~2 blocks north of Dupont Circle)
Tonight is the first meeting of the MGJ Education
working group. Also joining them are members of the
Washington DC Social Forum (WDC-SF) and the District
Anti-War Network (DAWN)

Last September thousands of people came to the
mobilization—and hundreds were able to take advantage
of the People’s Summit and related education events!

Now the question is, can we do even more MASSive
education?

LOOK BELOW to see the 2001 People’s Summit /workshop
topics from last year! (see below). We have the names
& numbers of the people/organizations who held these
events.

--Can you look at this list and ask what crucial
topics are missing?

--Do you know ways / places that can get more DIVERSE
audiences to these education events?

--Who wants to discuss HOW to present the information
(forums, subject-tracks, debates?)

Are you interested in asking audio/video people to
CAPTURE this for history, for archives, for the whole
damn Internet?

Let’s rev up the education engines! Let’s start the
“Blackboard/Chalk Bloc”! What is more radical than
learning, eh?

So, where is it all starting?!

7:00PM, Tuesday July, 23
Public Resource Center for Activism & Art
1730 Connecticut Ave. NW (~2 blocks north of Dupont
Circle)

"Every time we support a community based communication process, we are not only helping a concrete community to have a better and more dignified life; we are also supporting the development of a communication ideal that may be the only means to ensure cultural identity and the survival of a world of diversity."
