[mgj-discuss] CAFTA arrests!

We will get further updates, but I wanted to give people the breaking news:

A little after noon today, a dozen AIDS activists wearing hospital gowns
dropped a banner that said, BUSH'S CAFTA = DEATH FOR PEOPLE WITH AIDS

inside the Mayflower Hotel on Connecticut Avenue in Washington. The action
today protests the CAFTA negotiations, which would limit access to AIDS
drugs for people with AIDS in Central America and create a precedent that
might impact many other people around the world.

Leaving the hotel, activists marched to intersection, chanting, AIDS drugs
Save Lives CAFTA = Death! They blocked traffic on Connecticut Avenue;
several are being arrested at this writing.

Their gowns said: Another AIDS Death from Bush's CAFTA
BREAK THE PATENTS  TREAT THE PEOPLE

I'm sure people will have more to say later, but this is how it stands right
now.
