i'm in favor of a contribution to JWJ, and i don't mind this being decided by email. but i think, in the future, a more appropriate place for decision-making of this nature might be the working group listservs. the mgj-discuss list is an open list and i would guess that many of the discuss participants have been to one or two meetings of a working group -- if ever -- and it has been in the working groups and the wg spokescouncils that decision-making usually takes place. as far as i know, the media, outreach, labor & scenario wg listservs are still in existence.

In the absence of us meeting theres no formal mechanism for getting an expenditure approved, so Rob & Tom Mazzie (treasurer) and some other people suggested that I throw the idea out on this list and see if there are any serious objections.

I am helping to coordinate food donations and would most likely use any money from MGJ to buy food or drinks that are still needed.
