Community Strategy meeting to discuss spring World Bank/IMF meetings

April 16th and 17th of 2005 the World Bank and IMF will hold their spring
meetings here in Washington DC.  Members of civil society from around the world
will also
be here to oppose these institutions' neo-liberal agenda which have proved
harmful to the world's poor, organized labor and the environment. The
Mobilization for Global Justice is conducting a big meeting in a week to begin
planning the protests.  Representatives are requested from all potentially
interested groups.

Proposed agenda:
Intros
Introduction to MGJ and consensus
Roles
agenda review and approval
Report back from 04 mobilization
- what worked, what didn't, what we needed
Report backs from orgs. working on Debt, the World Bank and IMF
Political update and context of where we will be in April, what will the Bank
and Fund be up to?
Brain Storming in small groups of key ideas and issues to focus on and organize
around for the mobilization
Framing discussion- taking the ideas from the brain storm and drawing out key
ideas/themes to frame a call to action
- Bringing in local issues
Formation of working group to draft call to action
Identifying resources- in kind contributions of copies, paper, phones,
computers, etc
next steps and next meeting
