As a member organization of DC Jobs with Justice, MGJ strongly urges
everyone to show up to these critically important workers' rights and
immigrants' rights events in connection with Human Rights Day.

Celebrate International Human Rights Day with Jobs with Justice!

Worker's Rights are Human Rights Rally!
Thursday, Dec. 8th
11:45am
AFL-CIO, 815 16th St (march on White House begins at 12:30pm)
Rally to oppose new federal personnel rules that strip workers of their
collective bargaining rights. Speakers will include local workers and
national labor leaders. Rally will be followed by a march on the White
House to deliver a petition supporting the International Declaration of
Human Rights.

Immigrant Rights Festival
Saturday, Dec. 10th
1-4pm
Marie Reed Learning Center, 2200 Champlain St, NW (near corner of 18th and
Kalorama, in Adams Morgan)
An afternoon of performance and education for the entire family! Featuring
performances by Sol y Soul, Bread and Roses, Luci Murphy, and the
Immigrant's Dream Theater Troup. Speakers will address aspects of immigrant
labor struggles. Sponsored by Amnesty International, American Friends
Service Committee, DC Jobs with Justice, SEIU Local 82, Casa de Maryland,
and Tenants and Workers' Support Committee.
