Born on October 5, 1968 in Libano Tolima Colombia. Coffee
Farmer, got involved in the Association of Small Farmers
of Tolima ASOPEMA. He was president of that organization
from 1997-2001. He is a national organizer for the
National Coordination of Agriculture CAN. It?s a national
organization that involves 13 farm worker organizations in
Colombia. He?s lead mobilizations, road stoppages, taking
over of institutions in search of solutions to the
problems of the farm workers in Colombia. He is the spokes
person for the farm workers in the processes of peace
talks for his country. Member of the Continental
Coordination of COMPA (Convergence of Movements of Peoples
of the Americas) for the Andean Region.
