Come out TOMORROW MORNING to draw attention to neoliberal economic pillage and U.S. empire!

Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada (Goni) is a criminal fugitive hiding in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with U.S. government support. He is a former President of Bolivia, who pushed through policies of privatization and resource theft by multinational corporations, in collusion with the IMF and World Bank. When people rose up in protest, the government ordered troops to fire on unarmed indigenous protesters, killing several. As President, Goni has ultimate responsibility for the massacre.

As the people's movement gained in strength, Goni fled the country and came to the U.S. The Bolivian government instituted an inquiry into the events leading to the massacre, and have summoned him to testify as a witness. However, the U.S. State Department refuses to serve him with the extradition order, and is not cooperating with the judicial process in Bolivia.

TOMORROW (Sunday October 8), commemorate Indigenous People's Holocaust Memorial day ("Columbus Day") by demonstrating at Goni's house. Join Oscar Olivera from the anti-privatization movement in Bolivia, and Rogelio Mayta, a Bolivian human rights lawyer working on the case for extraditing Goni, in this exciting and important demonstration.

WHEN: Sunday October 8, 9:30 am.
WHERE: Meet at the Friendship Heights Metro on the Red Line, on Western Ave. east of Wisconsin Ave. (The exit where the buses stop.) We will assemble there and march to Goni's house.
