There's no question that Avaaz's interpretation and goals are different.
While we have pushed them on their analysis, it clearly hasn't resulted in
a deeper message. They have organized an event in front of the Bank at the
same time as our weekly pickets. It would be great to have as many people as
possible come, demanding an alternative, broader message.
>
> > MGJ'ers:
> > Avaaz and Move on have also organized an event for tomorrow in front of
> > the World Bank HQ from 1:00-1:45.

> I just want to point out to all what this text actually contains:

> > its nerve and caves to the Bush administration, it will be a real
> > setback in fight against global poverty. The Bank is a mixed bag?but no
> > reforms will be possible until Wolfowitz is out.
>
> > Wolfowitz's rigid ideology and unilateral decision-making have
> > caused problems at the World Bank and undercut their efforts to reduce
> > global poverty. This corruption scandal is the last straw.
>
> Needless to say, I shouldn't have to point out to MGJers what's wrong

> that people push hard to make the point clear to everyone that it's not
> just wolfowitz (and it's not just bush) - something that democrat shills
> might not want to admit.
