**Street Medic Training***
March 2, SUNDAY
 11:30 am--5:30 pm*
For those newly interested, as well as those who need a refresher and 
those who are interested in running as a team during the upcoming 
actions in March around the 5th Anniversary of the Illegal War and 
Occupation of Iraq.
Taught by: Scott Weinstein, professional RN, experienced Street Medic 
Team organizer, trainer & facilitator, among other qualifications.

***Location: *will be 2 blocks from the Takoma Park metro.

**THIS is in preparation for the March 12th-19th Action on the 5th 
anniversary of the Illegal war and Occupation of Iraq. ***We are putting 
together a medic crew to run during these mass actions,and rebuild a 
local Metro DC Street Medic Team. We need YOU! as medics, organizers, 
and more....

*General Agenda Overview for this 6 hour training:*
Theory & lots of practice for:
*First-aid for bleeds, bruises, sprains, bone fracture (splint) and a 
big look-out for possible spinal and head injuries.
*De-escalating fear & panic.
*Police chemical weapons treatment, the application of LAW, Eye flushes, 
MOFIBA, plus witch hazel.
*Overview of police weapons and tactics possibilities.
*Tactical: street scene dynamics, awareness, anticipation, safe space, 
preparation, buddy/team system,  communications, ethics, calling for 
advanced help, intervening with others, etc..
*Reviewing and working with the supplies.
