AVAAZ Action Factory DC - Volunteer Sign Up Sheet

Dear Friends,

Can you volunteer with the Avaaz Action Factory from December 4th through
December 19th?

Copenhagen will host the UN Climate Summit, he most important meeting
regarding Climate since Kyoto, from December 7-18th. We especially need
President Obama and the United States delegation to be ambitious in these
negotiations. That's why we need citizens in the Washington DC metro area to
show support for a real deal.

As you'll see below, there are many ways volunteers can contribute to
bringing global voices for climate action to Copenhagen.

If you have ANY TIME to spare between December 4th and December 19th, please
sign up to volunteer below.

 Planned Action Opportunities * These are just a few of the actions we're
planning for the next 2 weeks. Mark the ones you're interested in helping

   - Building an Ark on the National Mall (from 12/5 to 12/12)
   - 12/12 Candelight Vigil at the Ark
   - Angry Mermaid Delivery (http://www.angrymermaid.org/)
   - Rapid response actions (times and dates TBD!)
   - Higher-risk actions
   - I'm interested in helping with all of them!
   - Keep me posted on new ideas.


 Skills Please check the areas in which you can help! Write in your unique
skills and talents at the bottom.

   - Carpentry and Building
   - Painting and Banner Making
   - Media and Communications
   - Overnight "Ark Watch" (making sure our Ark doesn't float away
   overnightl)
   - Outreach and Flyering
   - Recycling and Trash at the Ark (i.e. taking bags to recycling
   facilities)
   - Recruiting friends and family to participate in actions
   - Research (for materials, locations, etc. This can be done from your
   home/office!)
   - Street Theater
   - Experience with police interaction
