CM: This is taking on the proportion of the Great Pyramid, exhausting one
and all, yet over the most trivial (though consequential) type of work which
DPR should be able to achieve as a proverbial "no brainer". Why DPR can't
get this done, is just beyond me. Bests CM Jim Graham

that, it is likely that you will hear from me the next weekday. If there is
a need to communicate prior to that, you may wish to call me.

Councilwoman Patterson:

It was good to talk to you yesterday at Goodwill Batist Church, although
we shared a common dismay that there has been no progress whatsover
towards providing water to the plants in the community garden and
grounds of Kalorama Park.

Kimberly Flowers of DPR even promised that a temporary "solution" of a
hose from the rec cen would be provided by COB April 12-- there is not
even a hose, over 2 weeks later. The gardeners are still lugging water
in buckets from the rec cen faucet, but the brass knob of the faucet is
"eroding" since gardeners have been using it THREE YEARS NOW and soon
our water keys won't open it. I suppose then we will have to lug water
from home? Or should we buy water at the 7-11?

You noted to me that you will be marking up the district budget for DPR
this week. Is the district going to budget any money at all for water at
Kalorama Park? And the salaries paid to senior DPR officials: are they
expected to do anything at work?
