[Mintwood-place] One Columbia Heights Metro entrance to close for 2
weeks

A major joint development project is underway at the Columbia Heights
Metrorail Station in the District of Columbia at 14th and Irving Streets,
NW. This joint development project includes the construction of 250
residential condominium units over the East entrance to the station and the
construciton of 272 condominium units over the West entrance of the stadium.
To protect our customers and the station facilities, temporary overhead
protection will installed over the East entrance starting Monday, April 3,
2006.
The East entrance (3101 14th Street, NW) will be closed to Metro passengers
for two weeks beginning Monday, April 3, 2006 will the platform is under
construction.
The West entrance (3030 14th Street, NW will remain open.
Our customers will be encouraged to use the crosswalks to cross the street.
Metro is committeed to keeping the community and its customers informed
about construction progress, maintaining customer and system safety and
minimizing any inconveniences the construction may cause.
