Dear Callistus Nwadike, Could you kindly post the URL for the final report of the Adams Morgan Transportation and Livability Study. May I also suggest that the various preliminary reports documenting ideas and suggestions many of which never make it into the final study be posted as well. Someday some of them might seem quite reasonable and ready reference would be great.
  Thanks, Eddie Becker

      Mr. Becker:

Thank you for your complimentary remarks regarding our recent work on the 18th Street/Adams Morgan Transportation and Parking Study. We too were pleased with the work and felt that consensus was reached on the broad range of recommendations that we delivered to DDOT.

As a consultant to the District Department of Transportation, we were engaged to conduct the scope of the study that was presented in the first public meeting. That included a web site where interim materials and final recommendations could be posted. This we did and a final report was recently delivered to DDOT.

The next steps are now in the hands of DDOT who may choose to implement part or all of the recommendations in accordance with District policy and funding availability. Mr. Callistus Nwadike served as DDOT's project manager over the course of our work and continues as the Ward 1 Transportation Planner. I invite you to talk with with regarding future steps and the continuation of any web site where people can access the information. You may also consult with him about the final report and its future availability for public review.

We certainly enjoyed this project and especially the opportunity to work with the residents and business owners of Adams Morgan. It would be our pleasure to continue with the next steps but that is a decision for DDOT.

Please feel free to contact me should you have any other questions or wish to discuss this further.

  Sincerely,

  Alan Brick-Turin, P.E.

Dear Alan Turin, What became of the 18th Street Transportation and Livability study?

All that work your team at HNTB put-in is no longer on-line. I know it was quite difficult to get community consensus on much of it. I thought it was really very forward thinking.
It would be great to keep it up somewhere - if even on the DC Department of Transportation site. And implement some of it - over time - as conditions necessitate?
  Thanks.
  Eddie Becker
