Dear Friends:
 
At long last, the Ward One Senior Wellness Center (for Ga and Newton)
has its construction contract. We will be announcing the groundbreaking
soon. This--like the Col Hts Community Center--was ultimately a 9 year
effort, only several years of which related to DC gov action. The real
struggle was the effort to purchase these properties out of bankruptcy.
That took years, but it has really paid off at last!
