[Mintwood-place] Park Road Substation Produces Another Commander

Dear Friends:
 
The Chief of Police has announced the promotion of Inspector Burke, who
heads the 3D substation at 750 Park Road, NW, to Commander. We
congratulate him on this fine achievement, and on all the good service
he has rendered in Ward One.
 
It is the third Inspector--in three appointments--from our substation to
move on to being Commander! Commanders Hoey and Groomes all served as
our substation Inspectors.
 
It has meant briefer tenures than we would have liked. But it is a very
strong indication of the quality of police leadership we have enjoyed in
the brief history of the substation.
