Dear Sarah, The keeper of MPD Statistics. Thanks so much of all your help.
Could you find out if there is a good reason for not posting the approximate time of crimes? There are at least a hundred more neighbors then police on the streets - going and coming from work, shopping, walking dogs, parking their cars, looking out their windows.
So knowing the approximate time of day would be very helpful as part of recognizing patterns of repeat criminals who follow a regular schedule.
So could you find out who we would have to persuade to get time of crime posted as part of the statistics. Thanks again. Eddie

At the moment we are only cleared to post the shift during which the crime occurred. I believe that is included in the website data as well.
This Division is the keeper of all MPD statistics. In the event you have any future requests please feel free to contact us.
I would greatly appreciate being added to your e-mail list.
Thank you for your consideration,
Sarah

Sarah, Thanks very much. I ran the data for my neighborhood and posted the results to our e-mail list. Mintwood.
It would be more useful if there was also the approximate time of the crime - which would make folks more aware of patterns either to avoid or to keep watch.
Are you the keeper of all MPD statistics?
If you don't mind, I will add you to the relatively low volume list so you might be able to follow any discussion related to the statistics. You can unsubscribe at any time. Just follow the instruction at the bottom of any of the e-mails you might get. Thanks Eddie
