Good work on all this.  DDOT should really be asked to re-think the 
cement-scape approach to traffic projects, and should be invited to 
partner with neighbor groups on green-scaping the new traffic features.

We already have a very strong contingent of neighbor participation in 
landscaping at Kalorama park, Walter Peirce Park, and the Biltmore 
Triangle Garden Park.  The Adams Mill/Lanier/Calvert sites are literally 
in the middle between these parks and could complement them if done 
right. If DDOT went into this trying to maximize hardy but pleasing 
landscaping/bioswale runoff and watering features, I think it is very 
likely local partnering could maintain them and help them look just swell.
