[Mintwood-place] Not a robbery: Man Wounded at Kal and 20th

I was sitting on my roof deck which faces Kalorama Park when the shot
went off. It seemed really close. I'm at 1858 Mintwood Place, NW.
Anyway, I thought maybe it was a car crash and heard the sirens
afterwards. This morning I heard on the radio it was a shooting.
I'd like to tell the police...
Not long after I heard the apparent shot, I saw a white male on the
north end of the park on the East/West path hurriedly walking towards
Columbia. He was 20 to 40 years of age, wearing black sweatshirt. I
saw him from the side, and at pretty far a distance. If the shooter is
the guy I saw I don't think I could _accurately _pick him out of line up.
I called 3rd District. The detectives voice mail is full and there is
no way to communicate with them. The main desk won't take a message
either. What's up with that?
Anyway, I'm glad to hear no one died. Sounds less nefarious now.
SO what are out of town students doing with guns! We got to get the
word out that this is still a gun free town.
Thanks for the update,
