Re: The Kalorama Park Anti-Erosion Project Taskforce
Drafted July 2009

This taskforce, as proposed by DC Parks and Recreation (DPR), is a
peer-to-peer information sharing network consisting of local ANC
Commissioners, civic group representatives, and nearby neighbors both
with the experience and interest in the anti-erosion project currently
underway. Participation is open to all -- supporting research and
discussion can be conducted by internet and by phone, but critical
discussion will happen in a face-to-face gathering conducted by the
taskforce members.
 
This taskforce will deliberate community concerns around the Kalorama
Park project and select a recommendation to DPR about potential
solutions to current project obstacles as described below.
 
To do this work, DPR will provide the taskforce with existing site and
plan information.  Shared information should include written reports
showing soil analysis, arborist report, anti-erosion abatement method
research, and any other data in writing that can assist taskforce
volunteers. Any new information deemed necessary for the taskforce
should be generated by the taskforce.
