[Mintwood-place] Graham Staffers NOT to be called before Grand Jury

Dear Friends, I know many of you have been following news of the taxicab scandal.

On Thursday, the Washington Post blog, D.C. Wire, reported an update that was not widely circulated.

In short, two members of my staff who had been initially been called to testify before the Grand Jury were told they would not be questioned.  As The Post put it, "The fact that Vacca and Hernandez will not be testifying could be another indication that the federal investigation is not heavily focused on Graham or his office."

Rumors and unsubstantiated reports often are often confused for facts during scandals--with very unfair and painful results.  Such was the case in the early days of this developing story.  To be clear: I am fully cooperating with investigators, and like you, I want this investigation to be thorough and all guilty parties held to account.

My hands are clean.

Please--We should all take a deep breath and not rush to judgment.
