Hi Mintwood Neighbors, Anthony Bozzi, and Gian Cossa:
Anthony Bozzi of Capital City Real Estate asked me to forward to the Mintwood Listserv the apology below regarding the work at 1854 Mintwood.
I appreciate the reassurances given in his e-mail about future work at the Mintwood houses. But his e-mail doesn't explain why this work was allowed to move forward in the first place, which put those of us who live on the street in great distress, if not in actual physical danger to our health and well-being.
Anthony, a number of neighbors have questions about the future plans for the houses. I think it would be in the interest of Capital City to share with neighbors a set of your overall plans for the properties, given that Capital City really took advantage of us with the sloppy and potentially hazardous work was conducted thus far. We would also appreciate seeing the Environmental-Impact-Assessment application that your construction crew would have had to file with the DCRA in order to receive building permits.
Neighbors, please request that your yards and houses be cleaned up if necessary--Anthony has offered to provide those services. Before you have work crews perform that work, however, I would suggest you request to see proof that the supervisor of the clean-up crew in fact is certified to do the work.
One more question: I noticed the large dumpster down at Belmont, 20th Street and Ashmead Road, for rehab/construction that Capital City is undertaking there. The dumpster, which is not covered, seems to be parked in a no-parking zone. Is this legal?

Hi Mary,
I was asked by the Developer to send the message below to The Mintwood Place Neighbors. I sent it to the Mintwood Place listserv. Since I am not a member I am not sure it was received.
